SCENE 1 — LIM HOUSE, AFTERNOON

Bella arrives at the Lim house to drop off documents for Maya.

Nikki opens the door dramatically.

Nikki: “Ate Bella! Welcome to the House of Kilig.”

Bella: “Nikki, please…”

Nikki: “Kuya’s inside. Just saying.”

Bella blushes.

SCENE 2 — MAYA’S OFFICE

Bella hands Maya the documents.

Maya: “Thank you, Bella. Stay for merienda, ha?”

Bella: “Ay, Tita Maya, I don’t want to disturb—”

Maya: “Disturb? Anak, you’re practically family.”

Bella smiles shyly.

SCENE 3 — THE STAIRS INCIDENT

Bella walks toward the living room.

Luke is coming down the stairs carrying a box.

Bella steps on the last stair… slips slightly.

Luke reacts instantly.

He drops the box and catches her by the waist.

They freeze.

Bella’s hands land on his shoulders.

Luke’s hands stay firmly on her waist.

They stare at each other.

Too close.

Too quiet.

Too kilig.

Luke (soft): “Are you okay?”

Bella (whispering): “Yes…”

They don’t move.

SCENE 4 — MANANG FE SEES EVERYTHING

Manang Fe walks by, sees the pose, gasps loudly, and immediately calls Kute.

Manang Fe: “Kute! Apo mo and Luke… AY NAKO!”

Bella jumps away from Luke.

Luke clears his throat.

Bella’s face is red.

SCENE 5 — THE FAMILY FINDS OUT IN 10 SECONDS

Manang Fe runs to the kitchen.

Manang Fe: “Maya! Richard! Something happened!”

Maya: “Ano na naman, Manang?”

Manang Fe: “Nagkahawakan! Sa bewang!”

Maya drops her spoon.

Richard chokes on his coffee.

Nikki screams.

Abby runs to the stairs.

SCENE 6 — NIKKI & ABBY INVESTIGATE

Nikki and Abby rush to Bella.

Nikki: “Ate Bella! Spill!”

Abby: “Ate Bella, kilig ba?”

Bella: “Guys, I slipped! Luke just helped me!”

Nikki: “Helped? Or held?”

Bella: “Nikki!”

Luke walks in.

Luke: “Stop interrogating her.”

Bella blushes again.

SCENE 7 — MAYA’S DETECTIVE MODE (AGAIN)

Maya pulls Luke aside.

Maya: “Luke… bakit parang teleserye ang stairs ninyo?”

Luke: “Ma, she slipped.”

Maya: “And you caught her by the waist.”

Luke: “Ma…”

Maya: “That’s not a denial.”

Luke walks away.

Maya giggles.

SCENE 8 — BELLA & LUKE TALK

Bella sits on the couch, still embarrassed.

Luke sits beside her.

Luke: “Bella… sorry if that made you uncomfortable.”

Bella: “No… I mean… thank you. You saved me.”

Luke: “I’ll always catch you.”

Bella looks at him.

Soft. Warm. Familiar.

Bella: “Luke…”

Luke: “Hmm?”

Bella: “Thank you.”

Luke smiles — the soft smile he only uses with her.

SCENE 9 — DORIS & LIZA ARRIVE (OF COURSE)

Doris and Liza enter the house to deliver documents.

They see Luke and Bella sitting close.

They scream.

Doris: “OH MY GOSH! STAIRWAY KILIG!”

Liza: “May hawakan daw sa bewang!”

Bella hides her face.

Luke sighs.

SCENE 10 — ENDING MOMENT

Bella stands to leave.

Luke walks her to the gate.

Bella: “Sorry for the chaos.”

Luke: “It’s okay. As long as you’re okay.”

Bella smiles.

Bella: “Goodnight, Luke.”

Luke: “Goodnight, Bella.”

She walks away.

Luke watches her — soft, thoughtful, smiling.

Maya appears behind him.

Maya: “Anak… may something na talaga.”

Luke jumps.

Fade out.
