The dining table was filled with food — spaghetti, lumpia, pancit, Bella’s favorite chocolate cake.
Soft music played in the background.

It wasn’t a grand party.
It didn’t need to be.

It was a celebration of family.

Maya approached Bella with a small hair clip — a simple butterfly design.
“This was Abby’s when she was younger. Now… it’s yours.”

Bella touched it gently.
“Thank you po, Tita Maya.”

Nikki wrapped an arm around her.
“Come on, picture tayo!”

Luke pretended to complain but stood behind them anyway, smiling.

Richard raised a glass of juice.
“Everyone… I just want to say something.”

The room quieted.

“Family isn’t just about blood. It’s about love. It’s about choosing each other. And tonight… we celebrate Bella choosing us, and us choosing her.”

Bella’s eyes filled with tears.

Maya added softly,
“You are home, anak.”

The kids cheered.
Tita Sunny shouted from the window,
“WELCOME HOME, BELLA!”
Everyone laughed.

Bella looked around — at the faces that welcomed her, protected her, believed in her.

She whispered,
“This… this is my family.”

Later that night, Bella stepped outside for a moment, looking up at the stars.

She held her mother’s letter close.

“Mama… I’m home,” she whispered. “I’m safe. I’m loved. Just like you wanted.”

A soft breeze brushed her cheek — gentle, warm, comforting.

She smiled.

Inside, the Lims called her name.

“Bella! Come join us!”

She wiped her tears and ran back inside —
toward laughter, warmth, and a future she never thought she’d have.
