⭐ Episode 11 — Delgado’s Offer

The house was buzzing with urgency. Elise had revealed the truth about the list. Tita Lani had confessed her part in hiding it. Bella’s notebook now felt heavier than ever — a map, a clue, a key to everything Delgado wanted.

Richard prepared the car.

Luke stayed glued to Bella’s side.

Maya packed supplies.

Bella’s mother whispered prayers.

Elise stood guard near the window.

But Delgado didn’t wait for them to leave.

He stepped out of his car.

And walked toward the house.

⭐ Delgado Approaches

Bella saw him first.

“Luke…” she whispered.

Luke turned — and froze.

Delgado walked calmly, hands in his pockets, expression unreadable. He wasn’t rushing. He wasn’t angry. He wasn’t threatening.

He was confident.

Too confident.

Richard stepped outside. “Stay inside, everyone.”

Bella grabbed Luke’s arm. “Don’t leave me.”

Luke stayed beside her. “I’m not.”

Elise moved to the doorway. “He’s not here to fight.”

Bella frowned. “Then why is he here?”

Elise whispered, “To negotiate.”

⭐ The Confrontation

Delgado stopped at the porch, looking at Richard.

“You’ve been busy,” he said softly.

Richard glared. “Get off my property.”

Delgado smiled. “Richard… you’re brave. But bravery doesn’t change the truth.”

Luke stepped forward. “You’re not taking Bella.”

Delgado raised a brow. “I didn’t come to take her.”

Bella’s heart pounded. “Then why are you here?”

Delgado looked at her — really looked — and Bella felt a chill run down her spine.

“I came to offer you a choice.”

Elise whispered, “Don’t listen.”

Bella couldn’t help it.

She listened.

⭐ The Offer

Delgado stepped closer.

“You’re looking for the list,” he said. “The one your father hid.”

Bella swallowed hard. “Yes.”

Delgado nodded. “Good. Because I want it too.”

Richard growled, “You’re not getting it.”

Delgado ignored him.

He looked at Bella.

“If you come with me willingly,” he said softly, “I’ll tell you where it is.”

Bella froze. “What?”

Luke stepped in front of her. “She’s not going anywhere with you.”

Delgado smirked. “I’m not talking to you.”

Bella’s voice trembled. “Why would you tell me?”

Delgado’s eyes softened — just a little.

“Because your father wanted you to know.”

Bella’s breath caught. “My father?”

Delgado nodded. “He left something for you. Something only I can explain.”

Bella’s mother gasped. “Don’t believe him.”

Elise stepped forward. “He’s manipulating you.”

Delgado looked at Elise. “You left me. You don’t get to speak for me.”

Elise glared. “I know you better than anyone.”

Delgado smiled. “Yes. And that’s why you’re afraid.”

⭐ Bella Breaks

Bella stepped forward, trembling. “What do you know about my father?”

Delgado’s expression changed — softened, almost nostalgic.

“Your father was loyal,” he said. “Smart. Brave. He wasn’t like the others.”

Bella whispered, “Then why did he run?”

Delgado’s smile faded. “Because he betrayed me.”

Bella’s stomach twisted. “By hiding the list?”

Delgado nodded. “Yes. And by protecting you.”

Bella’s eyes filled with tears. “He protected me?”

Delgado nodded again. “He loved you. More than anything.”

Bella’s breath shook. “Then why did he leave?”

Delgado hesitated.

Then he said quietly:

“To save you.”

Bella’s tears fell.

Luke held her hand.

⭐ Richard Snaps

Richard stepped forward. “Enough. You don’t get to talk about her father.”

Delgado looked at him calmly. “I knew him better than you did.”

Richard clenched his fists. “You don’t get to rewrite history.”

Delgado shrugged. “History is written by those who survive.”

Luke growled, “You’re disgusting.”

Delgado smirked. “And you’re emotional.”

Luke stepped closer. “Say that again.”

Bella grabbed his arm. “Luke… don’t.”

Delgado watched them with amusement. “You care for her.”

Luke didn’t answer.

Delgado smiled. “Good. She’ll need someone when she learns the truth.”

Bella whispered, “What truth?”

Delgado looked at her.

“Your father didn’t just hide the list,” he said softly. “He hid something else.”

Bella trembled. “What?”

Delgado answered quietly:

“A message.”

⭐ The Message

Bella’s voice cracked. “A message for me?”

Delgado nodded. “Yes.”

Elise stepped forward. “Don’t trust him.”

Delgado ignored her.

He looked at Bella.

“Your father left you instructions,” he said. “He knew this day would come. He knew I would come for you. He knew you would search for the list.”

Bella whispered, “What instructions?”

Delgado smiled.

“I’ll tell you… if you come with me.”

Bella shook her head violently. “No. I’m not going anywhere with you.”

Delgado nodded slowly. “I expected that.”

He stepped back.

“But you will.”

Bella’s heart dropped. “No.”

Delgado looked at her with chilling patience.

“You want to know the truth,” he said. “And I’m the only one who has it.”

Bella trembled. “I don’t trust you.”

Delgado smiled. “You don’t have to trust me. You just have to want answers.”

Bella’s tears fell.

Luke held her tighter.

⭐ The Threat

Delgado turned toward the street.

“I’ll give you time,” he said. “But not much.”

Richard shouted, “Stay away from her!”

Delgado didn’t turn around.

He simply said:

“Find the list. Before I do.”

Bella whispered, “And if we don’t?”

Delgado paused.

Then he answered quietly:

“Then I take you.”

Bella’s breath stopped.

Luke stepped in front of her. “Over my dead body.”

Delgado smiled.

“That can be arranged.”

⭐ He Leaves

Delgado walked back to his car.

Calm.

Unhurried.

Certain.

He got inside.

The engine started.

The car drove away.

Bella collapsed into Luke’s arms. “Luke… I’m scared.”

Luke held her tightly. “I know. But we’re not letting him take you.”

Richard stood frozen, fists clenched. “We need to find that list.”

Elise nodded. “Tonight.”

Bella’s mother whispered, “Lord, protect us.”

Maya cried softly.

Bella looked at her notebook.

Her father’s drawings.

Her father’s clues.

Her father’s secrets.

She whispered:

“Dad… what did you leave for me?”
