SCENE 1 — LIM HOUSE, AFTERNOON

Maya is preparing merienda in the kitchen.

Bella arrives with documents.

Bella: “Tita Maya, here po.”

Maya: “Ay thank you, Bella! Stay muna, ha? I need help sa kitchen.”

Bella smiles shyly.

Luke enters the kitchen.

He freezes when he sees Bella.

Bella freezes too.

Maya smirks.

Maya: “Luke, anak… help Bella slice the fruits.”

Luke: “Ma…”

Maya: “No complaints.”

Luke obeys.

SCENE 2 — KITCHEN KILIG BEGINS

Bella slices strawberries.

Luke slices mangoes.

They keep glancing at each other.

Their hands brush when they reach for the same bowl.

Bella pulls back.

Luke clears his throat.

Luke: “Sorry.”

Bella: “It’s okay.”

Maya watches them like a director.

SCENE 3 — THE MIXING BOWL INCIDENT

Bella tries to reach a mixing bowl on the top shelf.

She tiptoes.

She still can’t reach.

Luke steps behind her.

He reaches over her shoulder.

Their bodies almost touch.

Bella freezes.

Luke freezes.

He grabs the bowl.

Hands it to her.

They stare at each other.

Too close.

Too quiet.

Too charged.

Maya coughs loudly.

They jump apart.

SCENE 4 — MAYA LEAVES THEM ALONE (ON PURPOSE)

Maya: “I’ll check on the girls. You two finish here.”

She leaves.

Bella and Luke are alone.

Silence.

Bella mixes the fruit salad.

Luke watches her.

SCENE 5 — THE SOFT MOMENT

Bella tastes the mixture.

Bella: “Hmm… kulang ng honey.”

Luke takes the spoon from her hand.

He tastes it.

Bella’s eyes widen.

Luke nods.

Luke: “Yeah… kulang nga.”

Bella blushes.

Luke realizes what he just did.

He blushes too.

SCENE 6 — THE ALMOST KISS

Bella reaches for the honey.

Luke reaches at the same time.

Their hands touch.

They both freeze.

Bella looks up.

Luke looks down.

Their faces inches apart.

Bella’s breath catches.

Luke leans in slightly.

Bella doesn’t move.

Their noses almost touch.

Their lips almost meet—

SCENE 7 — INTERRUPTED BY CHAOS

Nikki bursts into the kitchen.

Nikki: “ATE BELLA—OH MY GOSH WHAT DID I INTERRUPT?!”

Bella jumps away.

Luke steps back so fast he hits the counter.

Nikki screams.

Nikki: “KUYA ALMOST KISSED BELLA!”

Bella: “Nikki!”

Luke: “Nikki!”

Abby runs in.

Abby: “WHAT HAPPENED?!”

Nikki: “Almost kiss!”

Abby: “AYYYYY!”

Bella hides behind the fridge door.

Luke covers his face.

SCENE 8 — MAYA & RICHARD ENTER

Maya enters calmly.

Maya: “Did I miss something?”

Nikki: points at Luke and Bella  

Nikki: “Ma… they were THIS CLOSE.”

Maya smiles.

Richard coughs awkwardly.

Richard: “Kids… behave.”

SCENE 9 — DORIS & LIZA ARRIVE (OF COURSE)

Doris and Liza enter with documents.

They see Bella’s red face and Luke’s panicked expression.

They scream.

Doris: “OH MY GOSH KITCHEN KILIG!”

Liza: “ALMOST KISS CONFIRMED!”

Bella wants to disappear.

Luke wants to hide in the pantry.

SCENE 10 — ENDING MOMENT

Bella prepares to leave.

Luke walks her to the gate.

Luke: “Bella… about earlier…”

Bella: “Luke… it’s okay.”

Luke: “I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable.”

Bella: “You didn’t.”

Luke looks at her.

Soft.

Warm.

Honest.

Luke: “Bella… I—”

Bella steps closer.

Bella: “Luke… goodnight.”

She smiles.

He smiles back.

She walks away.

Luke watches her until she disappears.

Maya appears behind him.

Maya: “Anak… next time, don’t let Nikki interrupt.”

Luke jumps.

Fade out.
