The rule was simple.
No personal conversations during coāworking hours.
They both agreed.
They both followed it.
Until one Friday afternoon.
He asked a question that wasn’t about work.
And everything changed.
He wasn’t loud.
He wasn’t flirty.
He wasn’t trying to impress her.
He was just… curious.
The kind who remembered small details.
The kind who listened carefully.
The kind who made a productivity session feel like the best part of her day.
And she felt something she didn’t expect:
A soft, unexpected kilig ā the kind hidden between deadlines and coffee breaks.

ā āThe Boss Suite CoāWorking Ruleā
When Sophia joined the Boss Suite coāworking group, there was one rule.
No personal conversations.
Keep it professional.
Stay productive.
Focus on goals.
Sophia loved the rule.
Until Marcus Delos Santos showed up.
Marcus was efficient.
Organized.
Focused.
The kind of person who color-coded spreadsheets for fun.
At least, she assumed he did.
Every Friday, they’d work together online.
Same room.
Same schedule.
Same projects.
For months, their conversations remained strictly business.
Deadlines.
Funnels.
Content.
Systems.
Nothing personal.
Then one Friday afternoon, Marcus asked:
“What’s your favorite part of your day?”
Sophia blinked.
“That’s not a work question.”
“I know.”
“You’re breaking the rule.”
“I know.”
She laughed.
For some reason, he seemed relieved.
The question should have been simple.
Yet nobody had asked her that in a long time.
They talked for five minutes.
Then ten.
Then twenty.
The work still got done.
Actually, they finished earlier than usual.
The next week, Marcus asked another question.
Then another.
And another.
Nothing dramatic.
Just little pieces of life.
Favorite books.
Dream vacations.
Coffee preferences.
Future plans.
The more they talked, the more Sophia realized something.
The best part of her Friday wasn’t productivity anymore.
It was Marcus.
One afternoon he finally admitted:
“You know, I never liked that rule.”
Sophia smiled.
“Why?”
His grin appeared.
Slow.
Dangerous.
The kind she had started looking forward to.
“Because getting to know you turned out to be my favorite project.”
And just like that…
The rule was completely ruined.
A one-shot moment ā gentle, warm, kilig ā
just like Boss Suite. š¼š
